I have been a visual artist my entire life, driven by a deep passion for science and the interplay between the two. My formal training began at an early age under the guidance of renowned oil painter
Jonathan Green.
After completing my apprenticeship, I ventured from South Florida to Portland, Oregon, in 1992 to attend the
Pacific Northwest College of Art. There, I had the privilege of studying under exceptional artists like
Gordon Gilkey,
Manuel Izquierdo,
Jack Portland, and
Barry Pelzner.
In 1995, I opened E. State, one of Portland’s first truly cooperative galleries, located downtown. Later, in 2007, my wife and I founded
Oranj Studio—a unique space combining an exhibition gallery with a hair salon, serving the creative community by hosting art shows, live music, and events.
Alongside my artistic endeavors, I built a career as a Creative Director for
SightWorks, an agency I co-founded. Today, I freelance in
digital media and still call Portland home as a self-represented artist with work collected both locally and nationally. Thank you for taking the time to read this! 👊
